Iwer takes soca higher

By Editor ANTHONY ‘Lexo’ ALEXIS
A TOWERING three-tiered building with these words emblazoned on it -- 91.9 FM -- is now making an emphatic statement with regards to the future of the soca industry in Trinidad and Tobago.

“I’m going to take soca higher and higher,” CEO of Soca 91.9 FM Neil “Iwer” George beamed proudly, adding, “This building on Maraval Road, PoS, is proof that I’m very serious about taking soca global via the Internet and other available avenues.”

“This is my big dream come true -- a modern, state-of-the-art building to house soca.

“When people come into this pretty setting they must feel certain within their hearts that my station will take soca music where it is supposed to go,” Iwer glowed, standing outside the aesthetically designed building, which is really symbolic of his visionary plans for the future of soca.

About radio ratings, businessman Iwer oozes rosy optimism.

“It’s only a matter of time before the entire country gets hook-up with my soca vision.

“And that will put 91.9 FM ahead as the real number one station.”

Iwer, who has copped many titles and accolades in the soca ring, said he’s going to re-launch his station very soon since “we’re no longer community-based, but mainstream radio.”

IWER’s dream building for Soca.

Soca is currently on a rising tide and Iwer blessed with the prescient of mind knows damn well that now is a most opportune time to do whatever he needs to do to take soca higher.

Go for it, brother.
