| A
REPORTER who has been fired from different newsrooms over the years
for his bad habit of taking other people’s property is at
it again.
This time, the low-level reporter reportedly stole a cell phone.
But sources revealed that he was caught almost red-handed in the
act.
However, despite his sordid history, the reporter has always been
able to convince media bosses to hire him, selling himself as an
asset to the organisation.
He has already been hired by another media house, despite the fact
that his latest act of indiscretion occurred just around Carnival.
“But his employment with the latest media outfit might really
be related to his membership in the ‘Boys’ Brigade’,
said a well-connected source.
“A senior man in that news media outfit is a respected member
of the Boys Brigade.
“In fact, another reporter who was fired for alleged fraud
from yet another media house was quickly hired in that same media
house because he is also reportedly a member of the Boys Brigade.
“And you know that members of the Boys Brigade always stretch
out a helping hand to their brethren.
“That’s one of the biggest, well-connected Mafia in
the country.”
A senior official at the media house, from which the cell phone
thief was recently fired, confirmed to TnT Mirror that a report
was made about the reporter’s conduct just a few weeks after
he was hired.
“A reporter complained that her pre-paid cellphone was swiped,”
he recalled.
“And do you know that the culprit also helped her to look
for it, searching all under chairs and in corners, as if he really
cared.
“But she acted quickly and called TSTT for a print-out of
all the calls which were made on the phone.
“Calls were even made to Barbados on the phone and the response
from one of the recipients of the calls from him identified the
culprit.
“When he was asked why he took the phone, he replied, ‘I
hate her so much’,” meaning the owner of the phone.
The stolen phone was reportedly found at the culprit’s home.
Mirror learnt that it contained recent downloads of porn material.
Another employee of the said media house had also complained of
missing items.
At other media houses where he previously worked, including an East
Indian radio station, wallets, watches. etc. were reported missing.
The reporter is now quietly employed in the media house under the
wings of the senior man of the Boys Brigade.

some in top positions. |
