WELL-KNOWN American TV evangelist Benny Hinn, who is due to pay his second visit to TnT in May, may be after the country’s oil dollars, say some concerned Pentecostals.

According to the ads, Hinn is coming to TnT to make the deaf hear, the blind see, the lame walk and to solve any other problems.

But in other countries where he has been within recent times, and even within his own country, questions are being asked about Hinn’s true motive and his miracle claims.

In Nigeria, where he visited last April, there was a big bickering over money, and in Fiji, Bangalore, India, Australia and Hong Kong, many fellow Pentecostal pastors openly questioned Hinn’s claims about miracles.

Hinn had expected millions to attend his Nigeria crusades last year, but only thousands turned up, causing him to openly fume: “Four million dollars (US) down the drain!”

That is the sum he had invested for the Nigerian visit after he was reportedly assured that his returns would be multiplied many times.

As such, questions are also being asked whether Hinn is coming to TnT because of the oil money that is now flowing here.

Nigeria is another oil rich nation, and Hinn also got into a public rage when he went there because the Pentecostal church had been split over his visit.

That is another reason why he did not get the expected financial returns.

“Is he visiting Trinidad to make up for the losses he suffered in Nigeria?” one local Pentecostal follower asked TnT Mirror.

He said he was speaking on behalf of other followers of the faith.

There are also allegations that many or most if not all of his so-called miracles were fakes.

The gullible and weak-minded were said to be the ones who are easily swayed by Hinn, while the poor sacrifice their little savings to give him as donations.

Hinn’s lavish lifestyle is also said to be so extravagant that it makes many millionaires blush with embarrassment.
