IMMIGRATION officers are trying to crack a ring involved in the smuggling of Chinese to TnT.

Officers from the Inter-Agency Task Force, acting on a tip-off on Friday evening, followed a container from the Port of Spain wharves to a business place on Charlotte Street, Port of Spain.

When the container was opened, to the amazement of officers, 10 illegal Chinese immigrants were discovered hiding inside.

Immigration Department officers were immediately called in and they detained the men.

Investigations are now underway as to how they were able to reach TnT shores.
