IN preparatory moves to the formal commissioning of its Marabella Branch located at 26-28 Pointe a Pierre Road, Eastern Credit Union opened its doors to members on January 9, 2006.

The new branch, which brings the total to eight locations of the Financial Co-operative, will add yet another site to the Southern Landscape as an existing facility operates at No. 7 Independence Avenue in San Fernando.

The operational opening saw 51 new accounts and the premises was blessed by Pastor Nelson Sammy, who urged the employees at the new location to give thanks for the continued growth and sustainability of the institution.

The new branch, which is expected to be commissioned later this month, is headed by Sally-Ann Alexander and has an initial complement of 14 employees.
