Young children at Soca Monarch

IT was “children fuh so” at the Soca Monarch semi-finals held at Soca Broadway, Hasely Crawford Stadium, last Sunday.

The show usually attracts a mature audience; however, this year it seemed to be taken over by a much younger crowd.

Thousands of youngsters flocked the Soca Broadway gates for a chance to catch glimpses of their favourite artistes’ performances.

The show commenced with the Groovy Soca Monarch semis.

Children in the audience ranged from as young as four years old, accompanied by their parents.

The youngsters occupied most of the front stage area, directly below the entertainers.

Most of the adults in the front section kept a close eye on their children throughout the competition.

The children feted the night away jumping and waving their flags to the beats.

Although alcohol was selling at the venue, TnT Mirror didn’t notice any youngsters drinking it.
