BURROKEETS International will be presenting, for Carnival 2006, “A Tribute to Sheppy”.

“This presentation is an effort to honour our departed brother, Keith Shepherd, well-known journalist, avid sports lover and fearless spokesman of the masses,” said President of the well-known group.

“The different sections of the band will attempt to project the many facets of Sheppy’s personality, including his own individual masquerade played every Monday afternoon with Burrokeets.”

He added: “In addition, we will be staging our Annual Kaiso Competition on the afternoon of Carnival Saturday.

“This event has served as a cradle for budding calypsonians and has always been well received by the public.

“The profits from the successful staging of these two ventures will be used to the benefit of the community through our social programmes.”
