A BAPTIST leader’s wife left him for a member of his church some years ago, but he got his revenge earlier this year by marrying the same man.

The drama unfolded at a popular Baptist church in Tacarigua.

It is alleged the leader’s wife found out about her husband’s homosexual tendencies and decided to leave him for another male member of the church.

The couple’s steamy love affair lasted for quite some time until the wife’s new boy toy decided to follow closely in her husband’s footsteps -- literally.

After a few years of passionate love between the two, rumours began circulating around the church that there was some “trouble in paradise”.

Sources revealed that the leader of the church began dating his wife’s boyfriend behind her back earlier this year.

After a few months of dating his wife’s man, the couple allegedly fell in love and decided they couldn’t live without each other.

The source claimed: “The wife’s new mate told her that he was going to a foreign country on business last August.

“However, her ex-husband fled the country around the same time.

“Both men came back together and it was later rumoured that the couple got married while away together.

“The wife eventually broke up with the man a short time after ‘de mark bust’.”

Sources revealed that the church has been in existence for quite some time and is well-known for its “gay background”.

“Most of the members of the church are either homos or lesbians and if you come into the church as a straight person they usually try to transform you.

“If you only show signs of retaliation, they does shun you, and literally run you out of the church.”

The informant also revealed that the leader of the church and his family are well-known drug lords of the area.

Several police raids have been carried out at their home, which is located in the same yard as the church.
