It’s going to be just like home when east meets west at the Angostura All-Inclusive University Fete 2006 to be held on October 7 (Carnival Saturday) at Biscayne Campus of the Florida International University (FIU).

Already being hailed as the signature event for the upcoming Miami Carnival, the powerful David Rudder and soca diva Faye Ann Lyons, among other artistes, will share the stage with T&TEC Gayatones and Daddy Chinee.

Promoter Frank Dillon told Sunday Punch: “This Red Carpet Affair, described as the best day fete in the Miami Carnival, is into its sixth year and, for yet another time, the proceeds will go to FIU’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.”

Also performing in the Wear White fete are KMC, Eddie Charles, Skatie, Sexy Trisha, Roger George and Code 868 with Leon Coldero.

DJ’s include Redman, Chosen One, Supreme Team, Foreign Bass, Bad Ladd, Supercat and Big Daddy.

Giselle, The Wassi One, along with Maxine Williams, will host proceedings.

The fete kicks off at 5 p.m. and goes until midnight.
