DESPITE the minor
hiccups, last weekend’s Plymouth Jazz Festival held at Plymouth
Recreation Ground, Tobago came like a breath of fresh air to the
thousands who were part of the big three-day picnic.
From early afternoon, each day they streamed into the park in their
droves and patiently waited under the blazing sun to witness performances
by top international acts
They were not disappointed.
Soca artistes like Shurwayne Winchester and Traffik, Destra and
Atlantik and Machel Montano among other local acts, held their own
alongside famous names like Patti La Belle, Natalie Cole, saxophonist
Najee, Vanessa Williams, Johnny Gill, Doug E Fresh, P. Diddy, Barrington
Levy, Stevie Wonder and of course, Sting.
