THAT’s the big question being asked by Fire Spin Entertainment
(FSE) as they host Survival Story, the first Jamaican-styled party
tour through the length and breadth of TnT.
According to Ernest Bagot, spokesperson for FSE, Survival Story
is a search for the best hip-hop freestyle dancers in the Caribbean.
“There is so much reggae music now in TnT and most of these
songs have accompanying dances,” explained Bagot.
“Artistes like Elephant Man and the likes make sure and
bring out a dance for their music and it’s quite popular
with our young people in the parties.
“They love the dance movements and that’s why we decided
to look for the best in hip-hop freestyle dancing to contest against
the best from Jamaica.”
Last Saturday, at Club Shotters in Sangre Grande, dancer Kathleen
Abraham earned the right to represent her community in the first
phase of Survival Story.
Over the next seven weeks, competition will be held at top discos
in various communities.
The show moves next to Grenada as the countdown continues for
the best dancer in the Caribbean.
