SOCA Warriors and soca in Germany -- TnT’s culture on the global stage -- and now while all this high-definition excitement is erupting, here comes the news that pan will be invading New York City for all of Father’s Day weekend.

Second-placed Panorama winners N&M Trinidad All Stars will perform for New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg at City Hall, Manhattan on June 19, following an “In Concert” performance with vocalist KC at KC Hideaway, Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn, New York.

“My plan is to expose pan to the USA all throughout the year,” said KC, who recently booked WITCO Desperadoes and Starlift Steel Orchestra to usher in the signal event.

Accomodation for our cultural ambassadors was provided by Howard Johnson Hotel, Ultica Ave. Brooklyn.

KC told the Love Paper he always wanted to expose the rich culture of TnT’s steel orchestras to the wider world and the USA is the best place to start.

Trinidad All Stars are slated for two big shows on June 17 and 18 at the Hideaway.

Pan exposure in USA will also see Desperadoes, Starlift and top pannists ... all making the playbill, courtesy KC, who now is waving our national flag in the Big Apple.

Happily, corporate sponsors have been doing their part to assist in the promotion of steelbands on exhibition in New York.
