“As a mother I feel real blessed,” the elated schoolteacher
told Sunday PUNCH.
“She’s such a beautiful person ... not only on the outside,
but on the inside as well.”
When Sunday PUNCH caught up with the Thoms, they were once again
busy packing for the exciting trip to Los Angeles to once again
see their loved one bid for an international title. She went on
to say: “The village of Lowlands and by extension, Tobago
is extremely proud of Kenisha’s achievements and we are all
expecting victory.”
Mom Finnita, an agricultural science teacher at Bishops High School,
Tobago, thinks this may very well be her daughter’s last competition.
“After all,” she asked, “is there another international
competition for her?”
She said Kenisha, a tomboy turned beauty queen, wants to finish
her studies in the accounting field.
The Thoms are grateful to the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) and
Culture Ministry for assistance in getting them to Los Angeles.
Kenisha hopes one day to be an auditor. |
