She received no apology from the committee.
Sunday PUNCH was told that the evening got off to a bad
start.
“The drama began when she arrived at the gate and had to stand
there for some time waiting as those manning the gate tried to verify
if she go in free,” the source related.
“It was someone who recognised her and he spoke to them before
she got the go-ahead to go in.”
According to reports, it was only more embarrassment on the inside
as she was to discover she had nowhere to sit and her name was not
even among those on the judging panel.
“Protocol was really bad,” the source added, “how
could you invite somebody to judge and don’t even provide
for them.”
Dyer admitted to the Love Paper that there wasn’t even a chair
for her to sit on and neither was her name down as a judge for the
evening’s proceedings.
“But it’s just one of those things,” she laughed.
She related that a committee member had called her prior to the
show and she consented to be a judge.
“I’ll put it down to communications.”
