“It’s our (Red Paradise) debut presentation in the mas
and we felt it prudent to the industry that we introduce ourselves
to the public with a soca jam,” explained Carrington.
“We also personalised the song so people could identify with
us (Red Paradise) and the section.”
She went on: “We are also trying to assist young artistes
and Trini, who although she has been around for some time, is not
really well-known.
“We shopped around and Trini’s voice was the one much
suited to the song.
“We were also lucky to get Kees Diffenthaller in on the act.”
The song, Red Paradise, tells all about TnT and what the Carnival
spirit evokes in our people.
Carrington hopes that the strength of the tune will have not only
masqueraders in “Sunset in San Tropez” jumping but also
all the sections in “Dreams”.
Meanwhile, Trini Jacob is bowled over by the collaboration with
Diffenthaller.
“Working in studio with Kees feels great,” she chuckled.
“It’s sounding good.” |
