THE excitement is building as Village Promotions, the company that has given the largest assembly of soca bands annually at the Caribbean Brass Festival for the past 15 years, has announced major changes for C2K6.

In a medial release, Village Promotions has indicated that the event now has a new title sponsor, bmobile.

The release also makes the declaration that this year’s festival is for the first time in its history, not being staged at the Public Services Association (PSA) Grounds on Long Circular Road, St. James.

Instead, the 16th annual edition of the event is carded to take place at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Port of Spain on Saturday, February 18.

A spokesperson for Village Promotions stated: “We are looking forward to presenting our patrons with an artistic celebration beyond comparison.

“Our theme, Celebrate Our Music; Celebrate Our Victory, captures the mood and energy of our nation, and a region on the rise; which is a definite cause for celebration.”

The bmobile Caribbean Brass Festival has always commanded its space as the world’s largest convention of soca bands and solo artistes.

This year will be no different since the complement of participants boasts of eight big bands and more than a dozen solo artistes.

With several unique changes to unravel, the organisers are eager to ensure that this year’s event far surpasses all the fabulous achievements of the past.

One thing that will remain the same is the roll on/roll off stage production, that was first introduced and is synonymous with Caribbean Brass Festival.

In closing, the Village Promotions spokesperson added: “The roll on/roll off stage we could never change because, after all, our motto with Caribbean Brass Festival is to bmobile.
