While
at UWI he was on the Students’ Guild Committee and was responsible
for the organisation, event management and success of their now
annual Campus Carnival experience.
For this contribution along with the establishment of a UWI Hair
Salon, he received an award for Excellence in Achievement in the
area of Extra Curricular Activities at the University’s 40th
Anniversary award celebration.
In 2003, Ronald was nominated President of the Ragga Soca Organisation
of Trinidad and Tobago, an achievement much desired by various members
of the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Committee.
This brought with it various portfolios under his management such
as selecting and managing various committees that would ensure the
delivery of the Monarch Competition annually and securing sponsors
such as Mitsubishi and Renault for the grand first prize of a showroom
motor car and other cash prizes.
He served as president two years consecutively and gave up his position.
To date, Finland House has been working on and alongside several
projects within the audio department.
Some of these projects include Austin “SuperBlue” Lyon’s
TnT Soca Warriors, Len “Boogsie” Sharpe’s/Anthony
“Lexo” Alexis’, This One’s For U, Bradley,
and jingles and voice work for major corporations.
Some new artistes’ contributions include, Electricity by Zeus
and Hurricane by Helen Marquez and Spanish Fly.
The video department has been blessed also with Shake It from Golden
Touch currently receiving high rotation on SynergyTV and soon to
come Eddie Charles Hypmotist, Terry Seales Hello and Nicole DeCoteau
