Gail Ann has already released four songs for C2K6.
Already on rotation is Look Excuse produced by Michelle Williams
out of Catalyst Studio in Brooklyn.
Other releases include Hit and Run (Dainja Mentalz Studio) and Buckle
Up a collaboration with Benjai and Salt, half of the R&B duo
Salt N’ Peppa.
Describing her move to go solo as “one to regain my identity”
Gail Ann revealed it has so far worked well.
The new experience has seen her working with a whole new set of
artistes from different genres of music.
“I did a collaboration Baby, with Saik, a 17-year-old boy
wonder from Guadeloupe and that tune is doing well.
“I also collaborated with St. Lucia Soca Monarch/Road March
champ Alpha on Carnival Nu La.
“That song is big in St. Lucia right now, and I’ll be
there with him to defend his title for Carnival this year.”
Gail Ann is also booked for the St. Lucia Jazz Festival later this
year.
The Diego Martin beauty who spends most of her time in New York
performing, said she spent four years with the band Asylum and grew
musically with them.
“I must say I miss the band, but there comes a time where
one must move on.
“Asylum prepared me for bigger things,” she concluded.
