THREE young masseuses
who told Sunday PUNCH they were forced to work as prostitutes instead
in a massage parlour have blown the cover of the covert operation
in San Juan.
And one of the “victims” is now pleading with Sunday
PUNCH for help in shutting down what she calls a “prostitution
ring and not a massage clinic.
“I went to work as a masseuse, but ended up working as a prostitute,”
she cried as she related her concerns to Sunday PUNCH.
“I never really got to practice what I learnt in the way I
wanted to.
“I had to have sex against my will, go out with clients and
perform acts of lesbianism.
“Pure exploitation and I couldn’t take it no more so
I walked away.”
A few months ago the attractive and unemployed young lady revealed
she had responded to an advertisement in the daily newspaper, which
said, “Masseuse Wanted”.
“But it was never about massages, she wanted prostitutes.”
So far she has persuaded two of her colleagues to also quit the
job.
The massage parlour has been in operation “for a few years
now” and is owned by a well-known public figure.
Among the three young women who recently turned their backs on the
world’s oldest profession, is a “Miss 2005 Borough Queen”.
The 22-year-old woman who spoke to Sunday PUNCH said the money was
very attractive, but was not worth it.
“A masseuse could earn up to $500 to $1,000 per session,”
she further explained, “and your work is on commission.”
“… And the things you are expected to do, you know like
oral sex and the likes.”
According to her a lot of unsuspecting teenagers end up working
as prostitutes in the massage clinic.
“She exploits them by hiring them because they are young and
juicy.
“That’s the kind of girls the clients want,” she
continued.
“Only a couple of weeks ago, the parents of one of the teenagers
came ‘cussing’ and threatened to bring police for them.”
Sunday PUNCH was also told that there is a branch operating in Debe
and the business is a very lucrative one. |
