COTT’s ‘HOTT Spots’

THE Copyright Organisation of Trinidad and Tobago (COTT) will present Prestige Holdings Ltd. with its inaugural “Hott Spots” Award in the “COTT Hott Spots” treasured licensee programme on Wednesday, April, 2006 at 10.30 a.m. at Prestige Holdings’ corporate booth at the Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain.

Each month, beginning in April, COTT will announce an awardee selected from among the most compliant customers/licensees, in an effort to honour and reward corporate citizens who show appreciation for an understanding of the value of music to their business.

These organisations are generally noted for their willingness to pay promptly for the use of music in their business places.

ALISON DEMAS

COTT’s CEO
ALISON DEMAS.

COTT applauds such responsible actions with the understanding that the revenue from licences translates to royalties for our members and is the creators’ just reward for their creativity.

Prestige Holdings Ltd. was chosen for its exceptional track record and will accept the award on behalf of its subsidiaries KFC, TCBY Treats, Pizza Hut and TGI Friday’s.

COTT has simultaneously embarked on a campaign, aimed at the non-compliant users of music and delinquent proprietors, who have begun to receive warning letters about their infringement of rights and who can face potential litigation for their violations.
