Pure mayhem.
Just like her 2005 hit, Wet Meh which gave her much success, the
former Synergy TV host again has written and composed a big one.
She’s definitely going to make big men cringe and even send
some of them running for cover.
Within recent times so called “man bashing” songs have
gained immense popularity with women and more and more female entertainers
are doing well pushing songs which celebrate a woman’s right
to be independent.
However an excited Knycky says she’s not about bashing, although
the song may be interpreted that way.
“It is women empowerment,” Knycky giggled, “independent
women at that and people must know my story is a true one.”
In her song, she demands from the man to bring back her house keys
and of course he musn’t boast to the masses that he is the
one who left, when in fact he was really put out by her.
Again for 2006, Knycky comes out of the San Fernando studio of talented
arranger Junior “Ibo” Joseph.
“He’s one man I wouldn’t put out, great arranger
he is,” she swore, “he’s so good that when I write,
he hears exactly what I hear.
“He gives music that nice Caribbean feel.”
These days a fixture on community radio station Trini Bashment 91.1
FM along with Candy Hoyte hosting Soca Macco on a Thursday midday,
Knycky is due to release another track Turn it Around in a few weeks.
For 2006, she has also written Soca Unity for debutante Faried Carvalho,
well-known designer.
Knycky who had short stints with popular bands like Atlantik, Horyzon,
Island Vibe and Caribbean Rage, is now in her second year with Blue
Ventures.
Popular Sanelle Dempster, we’re told, will be performing with
Blue Ventures at all gigs as a featured guest artiste.
