CAREFREE Southern belle, Jenna-Marie Andre, will take on the world later this year in Sanya, China!

The 22-year-old San Fernando beauty has been selected to represent our twin island State at the 2005 Miss World Beauty Pageant on December 10.

She told Sunday PUNCH that the call to represent TnT did somewhat take her by surprise.

“But I’ve always been ready,” she gushed.

Andre was preparing to represent at the “Miss Earth Beauty Pageant” which was held last weekend, however she chucked that competition in favour of a shot at the highly competitive “Miss World” title.

She’s no stranger to competitions having shot into the limelight back in 2003 when she copped the title of “Miss South Trinidad”.

Earlier this year she was a runner-up in the Miss Caribbean Jaycees held in Antigua and placed sixth in Miss Model International in Martinique.

Andre told us her chances at the competition are just as good as any other who represented TnT in past.

“My facilitators are working ’round the clock with me to ensure that I’m the total person.”
