“The mystery of Mardi Gras – the beads, the masks will
be unveiled through our eight sections, which will expose the love,
the passion and the people,” explained Khan to her guests
gathered for the band’s breakfast launch at MovieTowne last
Thursday morning.
“What we want to do is give celebration to Mardi Gras.
“Each section tells a tale and has a history.”
Sections such as “Zydeco” designed in red, that pays
tribute to the Zydeco music, the popular musical genre from the
prairies of south central and south west Louisiana to the green
“La Mascarade” recalling the drama and grandeur of Mardi
Gras balls to a silver and white “Katrina” aptly named
after the devastating hurricane, will all set the tone for the heavenly
experience on the streets of Port of Spain come Carnival Monday
and Tuesday.
Krewe Du Vieux (purple) Feather-Mania (Light blue), Un Gout De Ciel
(Lilac), Jeu De Perle (gold) and Flambeaux (orange) are the other
sections of “Mardi Gras”.
IslandEvents has the distinct honour of hosting international celebrities
