A 12-year-old girl has confessed to having sex with 20 men over a four-year period.

The girl made the confession at the Mon Repos Police Station last Wednesday.

A female relative, who took the girl for counselling with the community police, was reportedly shock at the revelation.

The relative became disturbed when she discovered that the 12-year-old, who lives with her at her Friendship Village, San Fernando home, was in love with her husband (the relative).

The distressed woman took the child to the police for counselling.

Sources told TnT Mirror that the child admitted that she was in love with her relative’s husband.

“She, however, claimed that she was not sexually active with the relative.

“The child said she had sex with 20 men from the Harmony Hall/ Gasparillo area, where she lived previously.

“She claimed that she began having sex at the age of eight,” a source revealed.

Mirror was told that the child’s father died and the mother was in St. Ann’s Mental Institution for treatment.

She was reportedly taken to live with the relative in Friendship after the mother became ill.

The girl has since named several of her sexual partners.

Police sources said: “The girl said at first she indulged in sexual relationship with men to get money.

“She claims it was no longer about the money but true love.”

Gasparillo police are investigating.
