Police found about 12 spent shells on the road, leading investigators
to suspect that Jeremie was ordered out of a car, and as he walked
away, he was shot several times with a 9mm gun.
There were several bullet wounds to his back, hands and fingers.
Jeremie’s murder was the second killing in the Arima area
between Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.
A Syrian poultry farmer shot to death his wife and then turned his
licenced firearm on himself and blew his head away.
Tony Najjar, 37, a father of two was found dead at the side of his
32-year-old wife, Denyse, at their home by the police.
Investigators say that Denyse arrived home late on Tuesday night,
saying that she was kept back because of the rising flood waters.
There was an argument between the couple which led to her “packing
up” to leave on Wednesday morning when Najjar took up his
gun and shot her in the chest.
He then took the gun and shot himself in the head.
Police said that Najjar and his wife had been involved in a bitter
relationship for sometime now.
He had also been accusing her of having an “outside”
affair.
Investigations are being carried out by ASP Badal, acting Insp.
Daniel and Cpl. Winston of the Arima CID.
