CERTAIN police officers stationed
at the Marabella E999 office are calling on Senior Superintendent
Nadir Mohammed to investigate strange occurrences in their department.
TnT Mirror was told that on December 16, two high-ranking police
officers used an E999 vehicle and found .38 shells inside of the
van.
Both officers, confused at the time, decided to find out who used
the ammunition since it was unaccounted for.
Insiders said the two officers took it into the station and accused
several officers of using the rounds.
“However, when they checked the log book they found they were
wrong and there were claims that the rounds did not come from the
police,” a source said.
“But seeing that their investigation was not going anywhere
you know what they did with the rounds?
“They disposed of it in a very untimely and foul manner.”
The source argued that instead of acting like the investigative
police officers they were trained to be, they acted upon a whim.
“These are senior officers. They are not supposed throw it
away.
“That was supposed to go to the Forensics Sciences Complex
so that it could be tested and determined if it was used in any
sort of killing or robbery.” The source also complained of
discrimination at the Southern Division, recalling an incident where
a certain corporal now up for promotion went on sick leave.
“You see as he is being considered for a higher position it
will go down on his records and it will look bad that he went on
sick leave so he asked a female officer not to enter it in on his
file, and of course she listened to him.
“So now his records are clean and he will most likely get
his promotion.”
Many of the junior officers who witnessed these two unrelated incidents
are now calling on Senior Superintendent Mohammed to carry out full
investigations.
Another officer commented: “This is a serious thing.
“There is a lot of discrimination in this office.
“We are seeing trouble.
“If it is that we are called upon to give a statement we will.
“That is not a problem.” |
