A “MACHO” police
officer is now in the centre of a scandal, involving three female
cops, two of whom he shared his “gun” with, and fathered
two children -- one with his senior and the other with a young junior.
The third officer, who is an SRP has been caught in the middle of
the bacchanal for organising “dates” for her younger
colleague with the ageing “trigger happy” corporal.
The drama, which unfolded in the Sangre Grande Police Station last
week, has the making of the soap opera, The Young and Restless.
Senior officers at the station had to intervene to stop the bad
blood between the female Sergeant and the SRP, who had accused her
of victimisation.
The “flighty” SRP, whose love life is also sending shock
waves among lawmen at the station, is alleging that the sergeant
is giving her pressure because she suspects that she (SRP) is organising
“dates” for the corporal and the young female constable.
The married corporal, who has a few more years to go before retirement
was transferred from Sangre Grande to another station a few months
ago.
The corporal has a teenage son with the middle-aged sergeant and
after he left her he started another affair with a young female
officer, who became pregnant for him. The child is now three years
old but they still have a close relationship.
Sources say the sergeant has ended her love affair with the corporal,
and has gone on with her life in another relationship.
But the SRP is claiming that she is being victimised by the sergeant
because she suspects she is carrying messages for her rival (the
corporal’s girlfriend).
Cops at the station say that the SRP likes to “pull rank”
on the sergeant, which is causing a confrontation between both officers.
When the matter ended up before a senior officer at the station,
the SRP was given a warning to get her “act” together
and change her attitude. The SRP, according to peers, likes to “track
down” men who are “hooked up”.
She has a child for a maxi-taxi driver and after they separated,
she got into an altercation with his girlfriend and locked her up.
The female cop then ended up with a taxi-driver and during their
short relationship, she broke down the door of his home and beat
his wife.
She took the man’s wife to the station and placed two charges
on her, which were later dismissed by the court.
Now she is reportedly stalking and threatening the girlfriend of
a married Coast Guard Officer.
These types of scandals are what probably prompted Snr. Supt. Farouk
Ghany, to describe the Police Service as a disgrace last week.
