WILL West Indies star batsman,
Brain Lara, be joining the United National Congress (UNC)?
This, after Deputy Political Leader of the UNC, Jack Warner told
the massive crowd at the party’s rally last Sunday at Mid-Centre
Mall, Chaguanas that he was leaving Lara for last.
Just last week Multiple Olympic medallist, Ato Boldon, was sworn
in as a UNC senator to replace Roy Augustus.
Boldon won a Silver and three bronze medals for this country at
the 1996 and 2000 Olympics.
Warner, while speaking of attacks on himself, said Ato and CLICO
chief, Lawrence Duprey, will be attacked.
He asked: “How come the PNM is an African party and the two
most successful Africans are in the UNC?
“How come?
“Cudjoe, how come?” Warner asked Selwyn Cudjoe, who
was in the crowd.
“How come the PNM is an African party and Ato Boldon is a
UNC senator?
“They will attack me but I am strong and am in a strong party.
I will survive.
“They will attack Ato; suddenly they know he could run but
he can’t hide.
“For four years they did not know that, but when he join UNC
they know,” Warner thundered.
Warner then said he was leaving Lara for last.
“Ah have some shock for them yuh know, wait,” Warner
said to loud applause from the massive crowd. |
