A HIGH-PROFILE official of State-owned Petrotrin has been caught in the middle of a bacchanal between a doctor from the northern environs of San Fernando and his schoolteacher wife.

The schoolteacher recently dumped the doctor for the Petrotrin official, according to reports.

A source told TnT Mirror the doctor seems to be having a difficult time accepting the betrayal.

“He keeps harassing the schoolteacher,” the source said.

“Police were called in to warn the doctor two weeks ago at a popular Marabella bar.

“He was nearly charged with obscene language and resisting arrest and escaped with only a warning,” the source said.

Mirror was told the teacher was at the bar when the doctor with the tabanca showed up and began hurling abusive language at his teacher wife.

The woman immediately called the police, who quickly arrived on the scene.

“We don’t know if the senior Petrotrin official had any influence in having the police respond so quickly.

“But the police arrived, warned the doctor and saw that he left the bar. The Petrotrin official arrived shortly after and took away his lover,” Mirror was told.

The source told Mirror the schoolteacher has a great deal of influence on the Petrotrin official and has already used it to get several persons employed at the company.

“We hope she does not use her influence to get the Petrotrin man to spend the company’s money on her.

“After all, we are hearing talk that the woman wants the Petrotrin big boy to purchase an SUV for her.

“She boasts about her relationship with the sickly Petrotrin official but she is nothing more than a money-hunter,” a Petrotrin source revealed.

The woman also has close ties to the ruling People’s National Movement (PNM) and she is said to play this to the hilt.

The source said the woman, who came from a dirt-poor background, milked the doctor for years.

“Now she treats him with utter disregard.

“The doctor left his wife and family for this woman.

“He educated her, bought vehicles for her and built a huge house, too.

“What kind of woman would repay a man in this manner?

“The doctor can’t handle the situation,” another source said, “and more fireworks are expected to come.”
