THE mega phone-card-distributor
Cool Cards has been appointed as a distributor for Digicel mobile
calling cards.
Cool Cards objective is to have recharge calling cards, both plastic
and electronic, available “no more than a short walk from
anywhere in Trinidad and Tobago”.
So says General Manager Jeffrey Mc Farlane as he expressed excitement
over the appointment and commented that: “Digicel is a major
partner for us and we have been very lucky to work with them and
other mobile companies, thus offering our customers a true one-stop
shop for all their calling card needs.
“The Digicel appointment in TnT is certainly a great first
step into the market and we have big expectations.”
Cool Cards is arguably the leading calling card distributor in the
region, selling more than 30 million cards annually in Jamaica and
have taken the mobile calling card market to new levels with innovative
and impactful marketing and distribution methods.
Cool Cards is a member of the vibrant and diverse Cool Corp. group,
which has just clinched a deal, in conjunction with a major TnT
group, to acquire the 56 Shell gas stations in Jamaica ... another
example of CARICOM/CSME at work.
Mc Farlane added that: “Cool Cards can offer an extreme service
since all we do is cards.
“We have a winning formula of availability and believe in
providing value added rewards for purchasers.”
Interestingly, for Cool Cards Managing Director, Andrew Grant, this
is in a way like “coming home” as his family have been
in Trinidad for more than 100 years.
His grandfather was the former WI cricket captain, Rolph Grant,
and his great grandfather was T.Geddes Grant.
Cool Card has been aggressively recruiting “cool” individuals
for their launch team and the local operation is already geared
up and ready to start their aggressive service thrust pending Digicel’s
start of service locally. |
