A very tilemy article, indeed I do share some of the views, Patrick had lost it and as someone who voted PNM for years, I switched, not because I was impressed by the PP, but I believed that they offered checks and balances which the PNM didn't.Further I was amazed to see how one man could make a fifty year old Party look like his own fan club. Now to the PP, I have listened to the likes of Sat Devant and Tim over the years, and I know what to expect from them.Tim Gopeesingh ought to resign imagine the the man responsible for education and that's his response, could you imagine the fire on Hazel if she made such a remark. The PNM should fashion that statement in an ad for Tim to go put the pressure on the PM. the issue now is whether the PM is strong enough to reign them in or will she let them destroy her which they will surely do ,simply because that's their nature they WILD. Madam PM your place in history is assured all those nice sounding platitudes you espouse in the international arena, will come to nought if you don't reign in these wild men.I understand your position in time past you probably shared some of their views, but that was when you were in the minors, now you are in the majors my lady, remember your legacy is at stake.

Thats the way it is at St Augustine my friend.

Students are treated like nonsense.

To get anything done, one must be aggressive and demanding, lest they be sent around a merry go round.

Dr Neil Singh, your comment shows that you are bloated with pride to the nth degree.

This is the problem at UWI, the Administration forget that its we the students, are the reason for a university.

Not bashful people like yourself.

Dear all,
This is Dr. Singh again. Why don't all you UWI students who are complaining against me get off this website, study your work and stop visiting my office during exams with your pretenses of being ill? All of you sicken me.

although I do not support the divisive politics, which have recently reared its ugly head, in Tobago, I do support sponsorhip by Alleyen's "nothing to do" ministry. Once all actions benefit tobagonians as a whole, tobagonians must move forward, with the goal of controlling our destiny. Maybe, sometime in the near future, bands from Trinidad will rush to participate in the Tobago pan festival, promoted and funded by the Tobago government.

MY BLACK BROTHERS AND SISTERS,DO YOU KNOW WHAT'S SAD?IT'S SAD WHEN PEOPLE,BE IT GOVERNMENT OR ANY OTHER ENTITY,CAN USE ONE OF YOUR OWN,MAYBE A BROTHER,SISTER,PARENTS OR FRIENDS,TO TRY TO DESTROY SOMETHING POSITIVE, AND THEY DON'T REALISE THAT AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN USED FOR DESTRUCTION,THEY TOO WILL BE DESTROYED IN THE END,BECAUSE NO ONE TRUST A DECITEFUL PERSON.

Speaking at a lively opening of a new east office of the Tobago Organisation of the People (TOP) in Roxborough last Sunday, Jack pointed out that with the location of the university campus in the east, a number of business opportunities would become available for its residents.
The above statement is applicable to Trinidad and is one of the reasons for the Debe Campus. If you look at the development now occurring from Palmiste Junction, on what was formerly agricultural lands, one can see the future for the area. The question that needs to be answered however is if a variation was approved under the National Physical and Infrastructural Plan for these projects, and the permission from the Town and Country Division and the Regional Corporation. The hesitation to change the procedure for valuation of properties in Trinidad by the state is instructive when one considers the impact it will have on the new residents in this agro/residential area. Please note also that this area is not connected to any sewage treatment infrastructure, and so every building in the "new town" (inclusive of the University) would be full of cesspits. While there may be positive effects for soil fertility, the impact on ground water will not be the same.
