Media Watch does not really like bacchanal and did not intend to return to the cuss-out between media men Dhanraj Sirjoo and Hansley Ajodha which took place in Montrose, Chaguanas two weeks ago.
But Ajodha called the Mirror in response to last week’s column to, in his words, “set the record straight.” The talk show host on U-97.5FM made it clear that he neither borrowed nor leased the vehicle from freelance videographer Sirjoo.
Adjodha is claiming that while the car had originally belonged to Sirjoo, it was bought from him and paid for by the radio station, including the insurance premium. He is alleging that the whole issue may be “a case of sour grapes” since Ajodha has opened a production company which, he says, could be seen to be in direct competition with Sirjoo’s video production business.
Both men claim to have sought legal advice and Media Watch prefers to let the matter be decided by the courts given the conflicting stories. I done.
