TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO Carnival got a big boost from American Sports Channel TVG, which was in this country last month to cover the December 3 Caribbean Nations Race Day Challenge at Santa Rosa Park, Arima.

The racing commentators told more than 300 million viewers that Trinidad and Tobago was one of the best countries to witness Carnival and showed highlights of the sexy women in their costumes, who were on display at the Santa Rosa Park on “Challenge Day”.

Highlights of various aspects of Carnival, including the painted blue devils, were shown during the two features races, which were beamed live from the race track.

Viewers of Channel 14 in Trinidad got a chance to see what was broadcast on TVG channel last Thursday night.

Derek Chin, who conceived the $9 million “Challenge Day”, got kudos from one of the commentators for his effort to bring the Caribbean closer through racing.
