BASKARAN BASSAWH returned unopposed as president of the Racehorse Owners Association (ROA) at its annual general meeting on Sunday at the Santa Rosa Park Members Stand.
First vice-president is Charles James, while second vice-president is Gervain Mouttet, secretary Dr Randolph Gooding and treasurer Byron Persad.
Juan Navarro, Christopher James and Rolf Bartholo make the members of the executive committee.
The owners who turned out for the meeting held informal discussions on the way forward for the racing industry.
A source said members of the ROA expressed concern of not being able to get information from the president of the ARC Hugh about the progress being made by the steering committee appointed by the line Minister Stephen Cadiz, who said details couldn’t be disclosed.
