Fashion Panache Model of the Year 2011 Dianna Quashie ready to take the international stage

One of Tobago’s top models Dianna Quashie has added another glittering fashion model title under her illustrious belt. The 2007 top model winner in the sister-isle is now setting her sights on an international career, when she upstaged a field of twelve models in Trinidad to capture the prestigious Fashion Panache model of the year 2011 crown from the California-based Enasha Photography.

According to a media release from the company, during last September, a team visited island of Trinidad, where in partnership with Christopher Nathan of the Caribbean Academy of Fashion and Design, Akilah Carty of Holiday Fun Pageants, and a few other selected fashion designers, a series of photo shoots featuring the work of emerging designers, models, makeup artists (and performing artists) were completed over a ten-day period.

“Upon return to California, a review team egselected Dianna from the contenders. What does this mean for Diana? First, she will begin work with our artistic director on the design of her winning hardcover professionally bound print portfolio of her Fashion Panåche work.

The completed publication will be officially presented to her in February 2012. A published portfolio of her work will also be deposited at the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) Caribbean Academy of Fashion and Design, where Diana is currently a student.

Diana’s work will also be a part of the planned gallery display in the San Francisco Bay Area during the Spring 2012 gallery season. The Fashion Panåche team was especially intrigued by Diana’s poise and confidence during the photo shoots. She was noticeably graceful and had a clear sense of purpose. Her strong facial features, flawless skin and piercing eyes made this Tobagonian beauty truly distinctive,” concluded the release.
