MEDIA Watch still does not know in what category we should place TV 6 media personality Ian Alleyne, but his rise in national prominence following his move from Win TV was certainly one of the biggest developments in media for 2011. His star was almost extinguished as quickly as it burnt following the airing of the cell phone video of the rape of a child.

But he survived even that by rallying his online fan base (and advertising support) and goes into 2012 as a still dominant force on television.
